| Update on NBA |
NBA AIP is one of the names the state is using for the
planning process for this new intake project. |
| 2/9/2012 |
http://www.water.ca.gov/engineering/docs/DWR%20NBA%20AIP%20NOP%2011-24-09.pdf
page 7 shows the map that BDCP and DWR uses, which does not jive with
the MWD map... |
 |
MWD is the huge water vendor that buys water from the State &
Federal water projects, to be resold to the urban areas of Southern
California. This is a section of the MWD 2012 map showing online
which is supposed to show the major aquaducts of California. The
North Bay Aquaduct ends at Baker's Slough west of Liberty Island
.... NOT at the end of Ryer Island! Since the NBA is being
proposed to have an alternate intake, and the maps and meetings indicate
the location of the intake is supposed to be up by the Clarksburg area
(which is so WRONG to do to the people of Clarksburg!) I thought it
would be a good idea to start tracking what is going on with yet another
intake project that will affect the Delta. |
