Still more photos of Snug Harbor, and also some other areas of the Delta Pictured below is a perfect example of NOT watching the tides in the Delta! We can have tidal changes of 3-4 feet, depending on the time of month and year. These houseboaters simply waited the tide out by fishing, after finding themselves stranded on their overnight mooring. Later, they came to rest and replenish their grubs at the Snug Harbor store! People get around the delta by boat or land cruisers. Free ferry rides and ample number of bridges make exploration of the delta comfortable, if you don't happen to have a boat. Of course, boating is probably the most pleasant of ways to explore this remarkable labyrinth of island, rivers and streams! The best way to understand the incredible beauty is to experience on of the many beautiful sunrises and sunsets, particularly in the fall months of September, October and November. Note that all of these photos are the actual colors taken...no touch-ups! Below are some random photos of our RV sites, Snuggle Inns, and the resort in general. Most of these photos were taken spring and summer 2001.
