April in the Delta |
| April weather can range from usual daytime in
the low 70's to night time lows in the high 40's. However, April can
surprise us all, such as in 2009 when we had some days in the 80's and a
few days of much needed rain. More than likely, April brings cool
but comfortable temperatures for this area, expect Delta winds some of the
days, and the fishing should be good. If there is lots of runoff on
Steamboat Slough, the sturgeon will be biting. If there is less
runoff then the stripper will be biting. Good time of year to see
beaver and river otter, which are local wildlife native to the area.
Hoot owls, hawks and cranes also all around to watch and hear! |
